CSU CEMML is advertising a Biosecurity Coordinator position located at our Asan, Guam location. Please see the position description and the linked job posting below. The salary range is $60,000-$75,000 and to ensure full consideration, applications must be received by end of day on 12/26/2023.
A Biosecurity Coordinator position is available with CSU CEMML. This is a full-time appointment primarily located on Guam, but the employee will be deployable to other areas within the Joint Region Marianas Area of Responsibility (JRM AOR) which includes nearby islands in the US Commonwealth of the Northern Mariana Islands (CNMI). Oversight and management of the Biosecurity Inspection Task on military lands within JRM AOR is the primary duty for this position. Guam has a substantial military presence consisting of three major military installations – Naval Base Guam, Andersen Air Force Base, and Marine Corps Base Camp Blaz. Each year major military training exercises are conducted within the JRM AOR where large quantities of military equipment and other materials are transported into Guam and the CNMI. Due to the sensitive ecological balance of island ecosystems, including the Mariana Islands, CEMML provides support to implement biosecurity within JRM AOR to prevent unintentional biological introductions.
The Biosecurity Coordinator is responsible for the oversight and management of:
- Coordinating, scheduling, and conducting biosecurity inspections on Naval Base Guam, Anderson Air Force Base, Marine Corps Base Camp Blaz, and associated Joint Region Marianas (JRM) training areas
- CEMML Team coordination and scheduling for biosecurity inspections on island
- Coordination and scheduling the deployment of teams to neighboring islands for biosecurity mission support
NAVFAC partner and other DoD POC’s coordination - Clearance of military vehicles, equipment, and supplies to be mission-ready as the sanitation guidelines are described by Technical Guide 31
- Other biosecurity tasks as required for the agreement
