The Cooperative Institute for Marine and Atmospheric Research (CIMAR) at the University of Hawaiʻi, in partnership with the NOAA Pacific Islands Fisheries Science Center (PIFSC), is recruiting for following position.
Protected Species Division Database System Developer (E26)
The Role: Serve as the technical lead and project manager for our enterprise database infrastructure. You will architect, optimize, and maintain our Oracle-based Enterprise Data Management System (EDMS), establish data governance standards, and lead technical project workflows across multidisciplinary scientific teams.
● Key Tech: Oracle EDMS, MySQL, SQL/PL-SQL, Python, R, Git/GitHub, Linux/UNIX.
● Suggested Experience: 5–7 years of professional experience in relational database design/support and scripting, including 1–3 years of project management/technical oversight experience.
● Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field
● Salary: $6,300-8,000/mo., commensurate with experience

● Location: Honolulu, HI (NOAA Inouye Regional Center, Ford Island).

● Schedule: Full-time, exempt.
