Opportunity Details
The volunteer will assist the Seed Conservation Laboratory staff with many of the duties associated with regular seed bank operations, including seed processing (e.g. cleaning, sorting, counting, documenting), and seed storage protocols. There will be some optional opportunities for field and nursery tasks as well as research projects. This will be an excellent opportunity to become familiar with some of native Hawaiian plant species, and build networks with other conservation professionals.
Must be able to give at least 3 hours of service per shift, and commit to two shifts a week (M-F, we are normally closed on weekends and holidays) for one month or more of volunteering. Email Nate Kingsley @ nkingsle@hawaii.edu if interested!
